While in Peru, I traveled to the Colca Valley and the Colca Canyon.  The Colca Canyon is said to be twice as deep as the Grand Canyon.  The Colca Valley was mesmerizing with the terraces wide spread cut in the mountains. I don’t know what it is about it but I loved the terraces – they are so capturing. Peru is full of them! These terraces were the pre-Inca ways of farming on the mountains.
